| Axles: |
Trailers ride on top of axles which are attached to the wheels. Axles can be torsion or leaf spring. |
| Class c: |
Toterhome or Motorhome that uses a truck chassis as apposed to a bus chassis (class A). |
| Dragster trailer: |
Car hauler or trailer with a frame, ramp and ramp flap specifically designed to load and haul a dragster. |
| Landscape trailer: |
A trailer specifically designed and reinforced for lawn maintenance use |
| Liftgate: |
A Stacker height trailer in which the entire rear door acts as a lift to load cars onto the lower or upper deck of the hauler or “transporter” |
| Motorhome: |
Truck chassis of any kind with a living conversion built behind the cab which usually includes a full bedroom. Motorhomes are only designed to pull tag or bumper pull trailers. |
| Nose jack: |
The jack on the front of each trailer that raises and lowers the trailer on and off of the ball of the tow vehicle. |
| Pressure cleaning trailer: |
open or enclosed trailer set up for pressure cleaning with water tanks, hose reels and racks for chemicals. |
| Race car trailer: |
trailer designed to haul racecars and parts. |
| Race car Transporter: |
Trailer that is usually a liftgate or wedge trailer to move multiple cars for a race team. |
| Ramp door: |
The rear door of a trailer that folds down to make a ramp that cars, motorcycles, tool carts, ect.. can be rolled up to load the trailer. |
| Roof vent: |
A crank open vent on the roof of a trailer to allow for air circulation |
| Stabilizer jack: |
Usually found on the rear of a trailer, these jacks help keep a trailer from tipping up or moving while working in them. |
| Toterhome: |
Truck chassis of any kind with a living conversion built behind the cab. Toterhomes are designed to haul 5th wheel or gooseneck trailers. |
| Transporter: |
Trailer that is usually a liftgate or wedge trailer to move multiple cars for a race team |
| Utility Trailer: |
An open trailer with sides and a rear ramp. |
